Calculation of advance in millimeters from an advance in degrees
This calculator allows you to calculate ignition advance in degrees or millimeters! It is useful in several cases:
You have the advance to set in degrees and want to convert it to millimeters to adjust your ignition using a timing pin or a dial gauge.
You have the advance to set in millimeters and want to convert it to degrees!
You have the base ignition timing advance but want to determine the required advance for a long-stroke configuration! Enter the timing data in millimeters for a standard stroke to determine the advance in degrees. Then, input your current stroke/connecting rod length values with this advance in degrees, and the calculator will provide the required advance in millimeters for your long-stroke configuration.
*Warning: The position of the cylinder (advanced or recessed) or the tilt of the spark plug is not taken into account!
