The bike will not heat properly and wear may come faster than expected! The function of the calorstat works as follows: it closes the arrival as long as the liquid is not hot in the engine ... It opens as soon as it is at a good temperature, this allows the engine to be at a good temperature and avoids to heat the bike too long. Generally, some advise against leaving it because it can cause problems (seizing from wear). We recommend to leave the calorstat (except on very big configuration and still ...) but to change it every 1 year to see 2 years! As the mechanical booklets advise.
