Goal
Reduce vibrations and stabilize the operation of the system at any speed and operating temperature.
Journey
Theoretically and practically all the existing systems of bearings on sale, ball, roller and radial sliding of the metallic type, all the proofs have given unsatisfactory results.
Prototypes were made with alternative, metallic systems, obtaining negative results. Only after grueling tests in the laboratory and on the track did we finalize the Torsion Control project.
Thesis
The component described above fixes the following problems.
During the amplitude of the change curve, the sleeve of the mobile pulley (torque corrector) slides axially in the driven pulley group, shaving the hub of the fixed pulley, which describes a small rotation by imparting a torsion to the contrast spring . Sometimes the spring loses its position by rubbing on the flange carrying metal masses on dry metal, and at other times it remains united by determining contrast forces, fortuitously different.
Second problem, the centrifugal forces developed at high rotational speeds influence the spring, which deforms and begins to swerve by creating strong vibrations, unpleasant for the pilot or dangerous for the engine, and which make the shift curve unstable.
Results
We approve the project after the tests in the test room and on the track on all the scooters examined, with full satisfaction.
