A variator replaces the gearbox. This is why it is important to find the perfect grammage which will make it possible to exploit the right speed throughout the opening of the variator. This rise must be longitudinal and smooth. A roller that is too light will send you into overspeed and will not allow your drive to close properly, on the contrary, a roller that is too heavy will close the drive too quickly, and you will not be able to reach the power setting.
