POLINI tachometer settings :

0.5 = 2 engine revolutions for a spark (single-cylinder 4T engine)

1 = 1 engine revolution for a spark (two-cylinder 4T engine or single-cylinder 2T engine)

2 = 1 engine revolution for two sparks (4-stroke four-cylinder engine or 2-stroke twin-cylinder engine)

3 = 1 engine revolution for three sparks (6-cylinder 4T engine or 3-cylinder 2T engine)

4 = 1 engine revolution for four sparks (4T 8-cylinder engine or 2T four-cylinder engine)

Attention!!! On certain ignitions which generate 2 sparks per revolution ( MVT DIGITAL DIRECT or MVT PREMIUM ignition for example), it may be necessary to adjust its tachometer as follows:

2 = 1 engine revolution for two sparks (single-cylinder 2-stroke engine with an ignition that generates two sparks per revolution).

*In addition, on these very powerful ignitions, it is advisable not to wrap the cable around the high voltage cable, but to connect it directly to the orange cable between the CDI and the high voltage coil!
