The system is simple, the box has a micro processor that captures the signal from the lambda sensor (thus the richness of the air / gas mixture), it analyzes the signal, modifies it and sends it back to the injection mapping ! Some engines work better by targeting a richer ratio. We are talking here about the AIR / ESSENCE AFR ratio at full load, open handle in large, when the handle is half closed or 1/4 open, the mapping passes on an economic cartho at 14.7 / 14.5: 1.
If you want to control exactly your gas mixture, we also have AFR meters!
