The famous and recognizable piston of the GILARDONI d.46mm 70cc kit for Peugeot 103, manufactured at VERTEX in a special and light alloy, it is really perfect. Unsuitable for other kit models, it is worked with a Gilardoni cylinder in order to open the blind transfers at 100% of the stroke, some even use it as decoration on furniture... It has side grease nipples and a segment in L. We will regret a degree of finish that is not pronounced enough, particularly at the level of the blind faces, especially since this system creates a lot of turbulence. The fairly flat piston cap has a rebound specially designed to preserve the original 40mm diameter cylinder head with the d.46mm kit.

Our advice : Smooth the openings on the blind transfer face with the canvas, for the best you will not be able to micro-blast these 2 parts with fine sand, polish the piston cap to gain performance, you can also drill 2 holes of 0 7mm at the axis passage because this piston does not have piston pin lubrication (anti-seize).
