The pinion and the crown are cut in the best materials for a quality and an optimal lifespan! You should know that the original KYMCO KXR quads are equipped with a fairly low range chain kit (identical to the first price here), and a final transmission in 16X28 ! You will choose a bigger pinion or a smaller crown gear for more top speed, and a smaller pinion for more acceleration! Be careful, a longer chain kit is more difficult to pull, so plan at least an exhaust line and a sport air filter to pull a tooth or two more sprocket. A tooth at the pinion is approximately equivalent to 5 teeth at the crown! The best for speed is to use a smaller crown which will also be lighter and therefore easier to carry!
Example: If your speed in 13X32 teeth is 65 KM / H at 10,000 rpm It will be: 72KM / H in 14X32 teeth at 10,000 rpm It will be: 79KM / H in 13X28 teeth at 10 000rpm It will be: 80 KM / H in 15X32 teeth at 10,000 rpm
