Here is one of the best quality / performance / price ratio on the market The 70cc ATHENA Racing high engine kit is an excellent compromise. With its diameter of 47.60mm, it offers the actual displacement of 71.18cc in combination with the original 40mm DERBI race. The cylinder is aluminum, it has 5 transfers of admissions and a huge exhaust bar, aluminum and treatment are at the height of reputation ATHENA, high quality.
The channels are very well worked, it preserves a base almost identical to the origin, an alignment cranks will not therefore be mandatory. The piston is a flat model, treated and high silicon content, it obviously has a single segment chrome end hard curved to allow very high speeds. The cylinder head is decomposable (in 2 part), to allow a better cooling but also allow more experienced to turn the bolts of different breech! The room is frustoconical, polished finish.
This group offers a compression ratio of 13.5: 1 with the recommended squish of 0.80mm. Several joints are obviously provided for you to make your squish, as well as a very good explanatory note. This cylinder preserves a very good couple but also offers a lot of high speed and power!
Really a very large solid and powerful cylinder to accompany a good equipment. We highly appreciated the degree of finish on this cylinder, also the quality of materials or the machining with lip that allows the combustion chamber not to shift from the cylinder during tightening / assembly.
We recommend to accompany this kit with at least : exhaust racing, crankshaft and reinforced bearings (game C3 / C4), carburation 21mm minimum and 26mm to operate well, ignition well released ...

Optionally we offer a stage 1 preparation, this preparation is a modification of the exhaust port by increasing the diagrams and improving the pipe, it increases the performance of the cylinder. An improvement of the bottom of skirt is also included in this modification. Allow a little extra time for this preparation!
