Description

One of the supreme and very well finished kits for MBK 51 / motobecane with av10 engine, it has everything you need to please: large diameter of 46mm (69.46mm real with original 41.8mm crankshaft stroke), mono very fine segment (1mm X d.46mm) chromed and curved in steel in order to allow the highest speeds in all solidity, piston worked on the cylinder with side grease fittings and fairly low bending angle, high quality manufactured at ASSO under POLINI license. The GILARDONI foundry cylinder is in hard chrome-treated aluminum with 6 transfers and above all a huge W-shaped exhaust... In short, it's THE kit for AV10, especially since the ATHENA / EUROCILINDRO and GILARDONI ... They are no longer manufactured for AV10, but however be careful fragile, you have to be quite meticulous in the break-in, use a good oil... Here it is really the maximum power that is sought, not the longevity, the W still solicits the segment a lot.

We would have preferred higher diagrams on this type of kit, we would have been able to increase them by 10° in exhaust and 3° in intake while preserving an enormous torque. The low diagrams of this kit will be appreciated by lovers of high torque and acceleration, less so by fans of high revs, we are aiming for a speed of around 9500 / 10,000 stock rpm. We do not communicate minimum or maximum power because it depends on your test benches! Crankshaft output, wheel output,… and especially your equipment. We greatly appreciated the very worked admission channels and this in the rules of the art! POLINI struck very hard, accompanied by GILARDONI to release this kit which has a real 6 transfers (no blinds) and more of that very well studied to obtain power, torque and perfect sweeping!

The skirt level side transfers is at 0 mm so allows a maximum opening at pmb in combination with the piston prepared polini / ASSO which is really well designed, cut to the millimeter ready at the side skirt level, this short piston obviously has the small half moon back which will promote good sweeping. The transfers of the cylinder are really very well drawn, they will in no case have a great need to be reworked.

Explanation of the W system : it allows a maximum opening of the exhaust port in width without risking the tearing of the segment. This system therefore allows in combination with a good settings, diagrams and equipment of extreme high speeds while preserving the torque, the longevity in particular of the segment is not sought with this type of exhaust.

As an option, we offer you a STAGE 1 preparation operating +/- 11,000 rpm , this preparation includes a selection of the best part from our stock, a marked improvement in the shape and the diagram and venturi (duct) of the exhaust as well as a beautiful finish, A finish of the intake lights. This preparation requires an additional delay of 2 to 10 days depending on our availability! It requires tools and around 2 hours of work on this cylinder with a coating that is quite difficult to work with and a very complex shape. The price is therefore accordingly.

As an option, we also offer you a STAGE 2 preparation operating +/- 13,500rpm , this preparation includes a selection of the best part from our stock, a marked improvement in the shape and the diagram and venturi (duct) of the exhaust as well as a beautiful finish. Modification of the cylinder skirt. An increase in the side and rear intake diagrams, improved channels are also included in the price. We pass on diagrams of 190° to the exhaust, 128° to the sides and 127° to the rear sweep. With this preparation, it is necessary to put POLINI casings, RRD intake wedge, TPR VFO RC E valves from AM6, 24mm to 25mm carburettor, variable advance ignition, reinforced crankshaft, variation exploiting the 13,000 rpm.... Time of work is very long on this preparation, the price is therefore accordingly!!! Compression ratio to opt, 15.2:1 with the POLINI cylinder head (adapt the cylinder head gasket and squish accordingly). Cylinder to be placed on the base or on a very thin seal (0.15mm). POLINI cylinders are machined very high base and stock, they do not open the lights at PMB according to vilo and casings!
