This exceptional, compact and very light suspension, entirely made of ergal excluding the rod and spring, was born from the collaboration between the Malossi and Paioli technicians.
It is a real oleopneumatic suspension with variable storage and hydraulic adjustment in extension and compression, compensated by a pressurized nitrogen chamber.
The project has been studied for a long time by the technicians of the two companies who, long accustomed to working as a team, have united their experiences to create an innovative suspension.
The versatility of this shock absorber is surprising thanks to the 3 new adjustment systems which highlight the use on the road and on the circuit:
-Adjustment of the hydraulic system in extension in order to absorb all the roughness of the ground;
-Double regulation of the hydraulic system in compression (separated according to low and high speed);
- Spring preload to adapt the vehicle in motion;
-Storage variation system when cornering.
The characteristics of the shock absorber:
These special shock absorbers are today the best technological expression that can be found on the market.
Type: oleopneumatic shock absorber with separate compensating tank
Use: competition scooter
Shock absorber rod Ø 14 mm in 38NCD4 steel - hardened and tempered with a hard chrome deposit 25/30 microns thick (hardness of the shaft surface untreated HRC 55/60)
Ø 36 mm piston with two independent lamellar blocks: one in compression and the other in extension
New lamellar system in harmonic steel which allows very precise calibration
LUBRIFLON-PTFE B70 type piston slide shoe (modified compound loaded with bronze)
Sliding on GUIDE DU bush (compound obtained by sintering a layer of spheroidal bronze on a mild steel strip opportunely pressed with successive impregnation and transfer of a mixture of PTFE + PB)
SEALTHANE grade 9345 polyester resin scraper ring
Micrometric regulation of the spring preload by means of nuts
Hydraulic extension braking regulation, preselectable in around 24 positions
Double regulation of hydraulic compression braking each pre-selectable in approximately 10 positions, separated according to low and high speed
Special oil with low viscosity and practically insensitive to temperature variations
External compensation tank which allows an increase in the quantities of internal liquids
Interaxle adjustment 25 mm (only for rear shock absorber)
Interaxles: rear 321 + 25 mm - front 181 mm
Stroke: rear 62 mm - front 45 mm
