The incessant development of electronics in the motorcycle sector has pushed Malossi to create and market a complete line of electronic control units for scooters for use on public roads and for competition, which are the cutting edge of technology in this sector. Each power plant model has been studied expressly for the scooter on which it will be mounted, which is why countless tests on the engine and roller test benches, and even on the circuits, a diagram has been developed. optimal (fixed or variable) ignition in order to obtain the best performance from the vehicle. These electronic central units have been designed to allow very simple assembly, since they are interchangeable with the original central units. They are compact and ergonomic and can
be attached perfectly to the original connectors.
These control units also make it possible to eliminate the rev limiter present on each original control unit, and in this way to take full advantage of the engine's power and torque even at the highest speeds and up to 20,000 revolutions / minute.
These electronic control units have a constant discharge voltage and thus make it possible to limit the inconvenience as much as possible during the voltage discharge; they make it possible to obtain a point of tension on the almost perfect spark plug (35,000 - 50,000 volts depending on the engine speed). In addition, they give extremely high discharge voltages and discharge current with surprising constancy when we see the variations in rpm of the motor.
TC UNIT RPM CONTROL
These electronic central units have a micro-switch, which must be placed on your vehicle in a sheltered place at your convenience and which activates the rev limiter of your engine. The number of revolutions on which the limiter is activated can be adjusted according to the type of your engine. It is possible to adapt the activation point of the limiter for regulating the speed at which it activates, by referring to the chronotachymeter of your vehicle and by acting on the micro-potentiometer which is located on the electronic control unit. The potentiometer has a considerable sensitivity, so during regulation, it is necessary to make very small rotations until catching the activation point indicated for your scooter.
