Introducing the all-new Digitronic variable-speed scooters with PIAGGIO / VESPA / APRILIA 50cc 4T engine! Compared to the origin, the Malossi casing has completely modified power curves and the rev limiter has been moved by 1,000 revolutions. Your maximum speed is 1000 laps higher !!! This new Digitronic manages the advance, the SAS valves and the PTC heater !!! The gain is very high! The ignition advance is managed via the linear interpolation of a 3-dimensional dimensioned plane consisting of 16 engine breakpoints and 8 engine temperature breakpoints. Clearly, you have a variable feedrate revolutions per revolution according to the engine temperature for maximum torque and power!
SAS valve side plan: The emission of secondary air downstream of the butterfly valve allows the engine control system to compensate for the non-linearity of the typical flow of a carburettor system. The Secondary Air Source (SAS) valve is controlled by the control unit via the use of a linear interpolation rated plane having 16 breakpoints on the number of engine revolutions and 8 breakpoints on the engine temperature. SAS valve management reduces pollutant emissions and optimizes engine performance under all operating conditions.
PTC heater: Particular attention has been paid to cold start-up, ensuring correct evaporation of the fuel when using the vehicle at low temperatures. The electronic box manages a PTC heater mounted on the carburetor to keep a constant temperature of the carburetor tank and the fuel contained therein.
Coil Recharge Time: In order to extend the life of the 8mm spark plug used on the PIAGGIO 50cc 4T, a time-lag strategy for coil charging was introduced to reduce the phenomenon electroerosion of the candle. The strategy used makes it possible to reduce the discharge energy of the ignition system, under high engine speed and alternator high voltage conditions, without compromising engine performance. In addition, the electronic engine control unit guarantees the operation of the vehicle in case of damaged or missing battery. Through the use of the kick starter, start-up is still possible in any energy state of the battery.
