Malossi crankshaft has a long connecting rod, the connecting rod is 10mm longer so allows a different arrival of gases and an engine based more on peak and high revs than torque and acceleration because there is a loss of precompression, a lower forcing on the connecting rod head and feet thanks to the lengthening of the connecting rod. In addition, the long connecting rod will make you gain in high speed! The original connecting rod of the Peugeot 103 is 76mm long which comes into friction too quickly, this one in MALOSSI is therefore 86mm long, which will correctly release your high speeds! The head bearing and the connecting rod are reinforced, however, the masses are not specially balanced. Supplied with 10mm aluminum spacer, long reinforced studs, base seals. It is not in full masses because it is not the desired goal on this type of crankshaft, obviously delivered with the needle cage of original piston pin diameter therefore Ø12mm. The long connecting rod also brings a great gain in solidity.
