Specific reinforced MALOSSI crankshaft for rotary admission. Ideal to accompany a good big kit or an original engine, this crankshaft is machined in the best steels and assembled in the rules of the art! It has a mass-machined connecting rod, polished finish with cages and a crankpin increased / reinforced! The lubrications are reviewed and improved. This crankshaft has a 105mm original size connecting rod and an original 57mm stroke. Mounts on VESPA PX and COSA ... In 125 and 150cc 2T. This super version has a better balance, a better studied admission, a more precise assembly, more high-end raw materials and a better finish.
MALOSSI CRANKSHAFTS FOR SCOOTER VESPA
The crankshaft of the Vespa is one of the most delicate and important parts of this type of propellant, as it must not only manage the movements of the connecting rod and the piston, but also regulate the intake through the setting. phase of the semi-mass crankshaft.
The Malossi technical department has focused on precisely these two aspects, creating two versions of the crankshaft and developing new solutions of great technical value starting from the choice of materials which are, as always, of the highest quality. .
All Malossi crankshafts for Vespa are made of hardened aircraft grade steel and vacuum remelted, a very scratch resistant material, guaranteed by the certifications required by Malossi's very demanding specifications. The "viper head" connecting rod has a shape designed to limit its weight as much as possible while ensuring the necessary degree of rigidity.
No detail, not even the smallest, has been overlooked. Indeed, the Malossi technicians, by intervening even on the thread of the axis on the transmission side of the crankshafts, succeeded in increasing the resistance in a remarkable way, by using a finer pitch. The position, size and shape of the key have also been changed, so as to no longer damage the thread and improve resistance thanks to a solution that is ultimately at the forefront. The crankshafts are fitted with special nuts that are much stronger, to exploit the better resistance offered by a tighter thread.
DIFFERENT VERSIONS
Different connecting rod lengths are available for "small frame" crankshafts for Vespa, on which the shaft with full mass crankshaft will be installed.
The crankshaft reserved for engines with rotary distributor, has a standard stroke and length.
CRANKSHAFT FOR ROTARY DISTRIBUTOR HOUSING
In the version dedicated to rotary distributor thrusters, the suction phase takes place inside the semi-mass crankshaft, in the structure of the circular masses itself, which creates a large recess facing inwards, while maintaining a regular exterior profile. This innovative choice made it possible to obtain a unique shape capable of guaranteeing extremely efficient hydrodynamic operation.
Such large recesses have always been one of the trickiest points of Vespa crankshafts when trying to find the correct balance. Malossi solved this problem by including in the crankshaft inserts made of wolfram and used as a counterweight to increase the stability of the crankshaft itself.
