New POLINI 300cc kit for PIAGGIO 300cc engine of 4T scooter (which makes a real displacement of 278cc of origin). Thanks to the special steel cylinder with Nicasil coating and the "HTR" (High Turbulence Ring) ring, it was possible to increase the bore to 77mm, bringing the displacement from the original 278cc to 294cc: a incredible explosion of power and torque from the PIAGGIO 300cc engine.
The thermal unit is mounted without any modification to the original crankcase and cylinder heads . A unique feature in the scooter segment is the "HTR" ring which not only improves the squish effect, but also allows a large bearing surface for the cylinder head gasket, thus ensuring high reliability of this component. The piston has a particularly extended skirt to resist the lateral thrusts generated by the connecting rod.
The combustion chamber cut into the piston crown is shaped to have an optimal compression ratio with large squish strips that mate with the original cylinder head.
