Description

The ATHENA 50cc kit in racing version is a very good kit in nykasil treated aluminum, unlike its big brother the 70cc, it has fairly high diagrams which gives it very good high speeds, especially in combination with the 1mm thin single segment. Its rear intake is reviewed and corrected with the EUROCILINDRO transfer system called T or double L according to connoisseurs, this system makes it possible to correct the sweep which is very bad from origin on Peugeot 103 but also to bring more torque.

We highly appreciated the aluminum and the very high quality nykasil treatment! The bore is also very neat and clean. The transfer channels are very well designed, the rear transfer serras also appreciated for owners of old Peugeot 2 transfer engine, the rear transfers being fed in part by the piston (with 70cc athena type preparation) it is not mandatory to have rear transfer on its housings.

The sides are passed in large transfers, so you will have to prepare your housings in order to align. The piston has a high silicon content, of very high quality, it is curved in order to allow you to preserve the original cylinder head, we will still recommend a good racing cylinder head d.40mm. The shape of the exhaust has been revised for greater engine cleanliness, better gas extraction as well as lower segment wear. In short, this kit is really a maximum performance but can also serve you every day, it is well based between torque and high revs! We will greatly regret that the piston is not prepared as on the 70cc version, with this rear transfer system, you need at least or prepared its casings in order to align them with the rear transfers or make a window in the piston allowing the correct filling of the rear transfers as on the 46mm diameter.

View of the preparation to be performed :

Preparation advice : Mount the exhaust diagram at 188 ° in order to catch up with the intake and obtain excellent high speeds. In general, we recommend a side exhaust difference of 60 to 65 ° and this preparation will therefore bring you closer (D: 58 °)! . The exhaust opening angle is 103 ° so it is good and the shape is very correct. The base is excellent and very worked, the finish is pretty good! Exhaust polish and piston crown tightened as good. Remember to calculate your chamber volume (be careful with the piston on the convex), the volume should be between 6.5 and 7.3ml. You can also create a piston opening on the rear as on the ATHENA 70cc Peugeot 103, this will better feed the rear and greatly improve the sweep .

We recommend it with at least : racing exhaust, 15mm carburetion, reinforced bearings and crankshaft, cold racing spark plug, crankcase preparation or / and piston preparation for better filling on the Eurocilindro rear intake system.

As an option we offer a stage 1 preparation, this preparation is a modification of the channels and the exhaust port by increasing the diagrams and improving the duct, it increases the performance of the cylinder. An improvement to the piston and the bottom of the skirt is also included in this modification. Allow a little extra time for this preparation!
