One of the best kits for the PEUGEOT 103, and very well finished, it has all the advantages: large diameter 46mm, thin single segment (1.00mm) so as not to slow down high revs, this segment is hard chrome domed for more resistance and less friction. The piston is an ASSO reinforced model with a high silicon content, it is worked on the cylinder in order to obtain better sweeping (and valve operation) and it has side greasers. This kit is identical to the air-cooled cylinder but of course safer and more powerful because it allows you to run leaner, with more advance than an air-cooled model. This cylinder has all the advantages of high revs (ideal for engine preparation), however it has very low diagrams, therefore based on torque... To obtain maximum power and many high revs, preparation will be mandatory.

The cylinder is in nicasil-treated aluminum whereas the old POLINI were chrome-treated, we very much prefer this new, more robust and efficient treatment, the cylinder has 6 intake transfers and above all a very large W-shaped exhaust… This W of exhaust much seen on the kits of the GILARDONI house (largest Italian foundry) allows an excellent high speed because it offers a maximum opening of the exhaust in width without risking the uprooting of the segment. In short, it is THE kit for 103 but however "fragile" if it is not well treated, here it is really maximum power that is sought, not longevity. You should always use a good quality oil, 2.5% MOTUL 800 in SP98 or SP100 and do a good break-in. The cylinder head is a model with a hemispherical high compression chamber, it is unfortunately micro-blasted, we would have preferred a polished finish turned as at MALOSSI .

We do not communicate minimum or maximum power because it depends on your test benches and your equipment! You should know that this kit is a monster of torque, but once prepared it can turn out to be an overpowered kit in cv. We will also have appreciated its shape which is relatively original and its discreet color (semi-gloss black or grey/black depending on the series). It comes complete with all gold-reinforced cooling hardware.

It's really the ultimate kit for its power, high speed, rarity, fame... We will also have appreciated the addition of transfers in the rear apron and the side skirt in front zero transfers which will make it possible to catch up with the torque and to get a better scan. We will strongly regret that POLINI has put all the assets to obtain a kit full of high speed while the diagrams are too low! Not retouched, this kit is not maddening in relation to its 70cc liquid competitor from MALOSSI , however given its advantages, this will be the best base for preparation, power and high speed fanatics! It is the only 70cc mono segment liquid kit with special exhaust on the market for 103.

Assembly instructions

Advice for small preparation : in order to exploit more high revs without losing too much torque, you can switch to diagrams: ech 187° / lat 129° / ar 126° with a ratio of 14.5: 1, this type of diagrams will greatly increase engine power without affecting its good behavior. Accompany this type of preparation with polishing the cap, polishing the exhaust and polishing the combustion chamber.

The skirt is also to be reworked as well as the base!

As an option, we offer a stage 1 preparation aimed at +/- 10,500 rpm,
this preparation is a modification of the channels and the exhaust port by increasing the diagrams and improving the duct, it increases the performance of the cylinder. An improvement of the rear skirt is included as well as a finish of the intake lights. Count a little extra time for this preparation! The price is explained by the complexity of working the W-shaped exhaust as well as the fragility of the treatment on these cylinders, which makes it one of the most difficult cylinders to work with.

As an option, we offer a stage 2 preparation aimed at +/- 13,000 rpm, this preparation is a modification of the channels and the exhaust port by increasing the diagrams and improving the duct, we pass on a 190° diagram, side admission: we arrive on a diagram of 129° lateral / 128° sweep, this preparation totally transforms the kit. An improvement of the rear skirt as well as the piston is also included. Very heavy preparation to accompany a carburation of 24 to 25mm, variable ignition, ultra reinforced crankshaft, variation exploiting the 13,000 / 13,500 rpm, POLINI casings with RRD valve adaptation wedge, TPR V.FO RC E or MALOSSI valves VL18 from AM6... Delivered with the correct data (specific extra fine cylinder head gasket) for the squish and compression ratio (we are aiming for a minimum of 14:1 with this engine preparation). Allow extra time for this preparation! The price is explained by the complexity of working the W-shaped exhaust as well as the fragility of the treatment on these cylinders, this makes it one of the most difficult cylinders to work on, on a large preparation like this, the hours are many .

*On request, the transfers to the base can be modified or left stock, on request, we can also adapt this preparation to the long stroke RRD !!!
