One of the supreme kits and very well finished for 103, it has everything to please: large diameter 46mm therefore 64.98cc real in normal race 39.1mm Peugeot 103, mono segment end of 1mm hard chrome, side grease nipples on the piston sides. The piston is also worked on the cylinder in order to obtain a good scavenging/filling. The cylinder is in chrome-treated aluminium, it has 6 transfers and above all a huge W-shaped exhaust...
In short, it is THE kit for 103 but however fragile, here it is really maximum power that is sought, not longevity, so you will have to do a good break-in, use a good oil and do your interviews well. We do not communicate minimum or maximum power because it depends on your test benches! Crankshaft output, wheel output,… and above all your equipment / settings.
The alloy of this kit is top of the range with a hard chrome coating (all POLINI aluminum cylinders are treated at GILARDONI ), we would have preferred a MALOSSI type nicasil, the S10 chrome segment is extra thin 1mm and hard chrome , domed, pre ground which allows it really pushed high speeds. We would also have preferred larger side transfers as well as more advanced intake diagrams.
Explanation of the POLINI / GILARDONI W system : it allows a maximum opening of the exhaust port in width without risking the tearing of the segment. Many say that the W is present here for the couple whereas in most of the tests of preparers, a small and not very wide exhaust brings much more torque than an exhaust with boosters or still in very wide W, in short that depends on the tests and calculations of each.

We will regret diagrams that are too low, a base that is not necessarily well drawn.
We recommend it with at least : complete kit of carburation racing 15mm PHBH minimum on STOCK kit, prepared with enhanced diagrams this kit little amply to exploit a Ø24mm, reinforced bearings and crankshaft, racing exhaust, cold spark plug competition 'appropriate cylinder head.
You will also need to prepare the engine cases in order to align the kit with them.

As an option we offer you a stage 1 preparation, this preparation is a modification of the channels and the exhaust port by increasing the diagrams and improving the duct, it increases the performance of the cylinder. An improvement of the piston and the lower skirts is also included in this modification. Count a little extra time for this preparation! The price is explained by the complexity of the preparation of a W-shaped exhaust and the fragility of the treatment during preparation on these cylinders.
