A small very strong high quality cast iron kit from MALOSSI with air cooling, 45.5mm diameter (actual 68cc), clean bore and finish good enough for a cast iron kit. It has 6 intake transfers and a very wide normal exhaust. Its diagrams are good and torquey, it is the exact copy of MALOSSI aluminum but in cast iron, so it has reduced performance and precision but a longer life and a much lower repair cost in the event of tightening. It is certainly the best 70cc cast iron kit on the market for Peugeot 103, fox and Honda wallaroo.
The piston is identical to the aluminum kit therefore in two segments except that the segments are not convex / chrome but simply flat. We recommend it for driving outside France (because it is not approved), a lot of kilometers while having good power, good speed and excellent torque. Aesthetically it is quite banal, size identical to the origin, marked MALOSSI in 3D, black in color. It has a fairly long transfer face skirt just like the foils.
The transfers are of special shape, increased on the front in order to allow maximum performance, you will recognize on this product the head start of MALOSSI both in terms of treatment, architecture and finish ... It is all the same good more efficient than the POLINI cast iron! It is above all a much better base for the preparers, in relation to the polini, this one has a better increased finish, large transfers and better studied diagrams, it has however for fault a too long skirt (opposite transfers) which obstructs admission transfers. To top it off, MALOSSI delivers this kit with a special admission set for fox and wallaroo only a KARBONIT valve blade, a nozzle for the original carburetor as well as accessories to bore the nozzle (in case it is still too much). small).
Are you hesitating between the cast iron kit and the aluminum kit ? What is the difference? The cast iron kit has more difficulty in extracting heat calories, its expansion rate is lower. This therefore makes it a kit with which you have to run a little richer (which restricts performance), indeed, we will look for a blackened brick red candle color on a cast iron cylinder, while we can run on a color light orange on an aluminum foil. In addition, the cast iron kit allows a compression ratio also lower than an aluminum cylinder, we recommend a maximum of 12.5: 1 on a cast iron, while an aluminum air can turn on almost 13: 1. Finally, the cast iron kit will also be less free at high speed because it is tighter, less expansion. But it will also be more robust than an aluminum kit.
We recommend it with at least : racing exhaust, racing spark plug, quality oil, reinforced crankshaft and bearings, prepared cylinder head or 45.5mm / 46mm diameter, be careful, we do not recommend it with the MALOSSI cylinder head which gives a bad squish and a too high compression ratio, prefer the POLINI, control your compression ratio to obtain around 12.5: 1 (ask our technical service for advice if necessary)
The pack contains :
- piston pin original diameter (12mm) reinforced / treated
-2 piston clips (pin rings) type C
-piston bi segment d.45,5mm
-2 single flat segments d.45,5mm
-cylinder in cast iron 6 transfers, normal exhaust d.45.5mm
-pack reinforced joints
- KARBONIT MALOSSI valve strip for FOX
-2 nozzle boring tools
-1 jet for original FOX carburetor
As an option we offer you a stage 1 preparation, this preparation is a modification of the exhaust port by increasing the diagram and improving the duct, it increases the performance of the cylinder. An improvement to the piston and the bottom of the skirt is also included in this modification. Allow a little extra time for this preparation! This preparation on this cylinder greatly increases performance and power (stock the cylinder is very restricted on the exhaust side and very poorly designed on the lower skirt side). Being in cast iron and quite difficult to work in view of the base, the price is obviously quite high.
