Brake fluid 5.1 (can be used in all systems requiring 5.1 or DOT 5, 4, 3, 2 ...), high boiling point at 269 ° C when it is dry and the fluid is new.
DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid
Long-lasting fluid 100% Synthetic
DOT 5.1 NON SILICONE BASE
For hydraulic brake control and
clutch
USES
For all hydraulic brake and clutch control systems meeting manufacturers' DOT 5.1, DOT 4 and DOT 3 recommendations.
Fluidity specially adapted for anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
PERFORMANCE
STANDARDS FMVSS 116 DOT 5.1 NON SILICONE BASE, DOT 4 and DOT 3
SAE J 1703
ISO 4925 (5.1, 4 and 3)
Long-lasting fluid:
The very high wet boiling point (187 ° C / 369 ° F) of MOTUL DOT 5.1 is superior to fluids DOT 3 (140 ° C min / 284 ° F min), DOT 4 (155 ° C min / 311 ° F mini) and DOT 5.1 (180 ° C mini / 356 ° F mini), and allows the product to be used for longer. Indeed, DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluids have the property of absorbing moisture from the air, which reduces their boiling point and therefore braking safety.
The wet boiling point is representative of the state of the fluid after 1 year of use.
Specially adapted to anti-lock brake systems (ABS):
The viscosity (820 mm² / s at -40 ° C) of MOTUL DOT 5.1 lower than conventional fluids DOT 3 (up to 1500 mm² / s) and DOT 4 (up to 1800 mm² / s) allows the fluid to circulate more easily in the micro-valves of the anti-blocking systems for a better response time of the ABS and ESP. Perfectly neutral with the seals used in braking systems. Anti corrosion.
USAGE TIPS
Miscible with DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 NON SILICONE BASE products.
Do not mix with mineral (LHM) and silicone (DOT 5 silicone base) liquids. Store the product in its packaging, tightly closed and protected from moisture. Aggressive chemical product towards hands, paints and varnishes. In case of contact with the skin, rinse thoroughly.
Oil changes: 12 to 24 months according to the manufacturers' recommendations.
